5 Series E60 530d (M57TU) SAL
Remove transmission cross-member.
Release screws and remove transmission supporting block from
transmission.
Tightening torque 24 71 6AZ
.
Note:
Illustration shows E65.
Release propeller shaft from transmission and centre mount and
tie to one side.
Note:
To rotate propeller shaft, unlock parking gear.
Grip output flange (1) with special tool 23 0 020 .
Release nut with special tool 24 2 380 .
Tightening torque: 24 13 2AZ

Installation:
Replace nut and secure with a mandrel (8 mm) by caulking.
