5 Series E60 530d (M57TU) SAL
Measurement a = approx. 30 mm from side panel cut.
Remove cavity bulkhead (3).
Open weld joints in areas (4).
Installation information:
-
Apply window glass adhesive to cavity acoustic baffle (3).
Installation:
Make a metal angle bracket (1) to protect water drain hose against
welding heat. Length a = 30 mm. Fit metal angle (1) on hose and
secure centrally under cutting edge through welding spots.
Open weld joints in area (1).
Remove front C-pillar reinforcement (2).
Mark severance cut (1) in accordance with measurement a and
cut.
Important!
Cut outer metal sheet only.
Measurement a = approx. 200 mm from roof edge.
Open weld joints in areas (2).
Installation:
Mark severance cut (1) on new part in accordance with vehicle
and cut.
Insert reinforcement plate at severance cut.
RA Replacing rear left outer wheel arch section (rear left side panel removed)
