Replacing left equipment carrier partition wall
(wheel arch removed)
Read contents of Body, General.
Refer to the description texts of the KSD CD (FRU
41 13 510) for details of stripping-down and rigging work.
The weight-reduced aluminum front end structure (GRAV)
is used on this vehicle.
Observe specific procedure.
Following new body parts are required (refer to EPC):

(1) Complete partition wall reinforcement
-
(2) Shaped part, partition wall, equipment compartment (not
shown)
Open rivet joints in areas (1) to (3).
Open EMC weld seam in area (5).
Installation:
Use 4 rivets (size 13) in area (1).
Use 1 rivet (size 13) in area (2).
Use 1 rivet (size 13) in area (3).
Use 1 rivet (size 13) additionally in area (4).
Use 2 EMC screws additionally in area (1).
Open rivet joints in areas (1) and (2).
Open EMC weld seam in area (3).
Installation:
Use 3 rivets (size 13) in areas (1).
Use 4 rivets (size 13) in area (2).
Use 2 EMC screws additionally in area (2).
Carry over holes for rivets to new part. Adjust new part together
with wheel arch to fit and secure.
Drill through both parts together.
Stick on cavity acoustic baffle all round with window glass
adhesive in area (4).
Bond new part.
Rivet new part.
