Removing and installing/replacing body
module
Important!
Read and comply with notes on protection against
electrostatic damage (ESD protection).
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
E60: Remove luggage compartment trim on side panel on
right
•
E61: Remove flap in luggage compartment panel on right
•
Disconnect battery negative lead
•
Remove trim for instrument panel, bottom left
•
Detach airbag control unit with gateway module
Note:
Open glovebox.
Unclip pin (1) from retaining strap (2).
Unclip pin (1) from shock absorber (2).
