Removing and installing/replacing carrier for
left or right outside door handle on rear door
(Security)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove door
•
Remove door window glass
•
Remove outside handle on rear door
•
Disconnect Bowden cable from door lock
•
Remove door lock
Door handle protective cover (2) is screwed to outer skin
protective cover (1). Release screw (3) on outside of door
frame, release screws in inner door area (see overview in next
work step). Feed out outer skin protective cover upwards through
window cavity.
Installation:
Shims for fastening protective mat must not jam between screw-in
sleeve and screw head.
Tightening torque 51 71 22AZ
