Adjusting camshaft timing (M57TU)
Special tools required:
•
00 9 120
•
11 2 300
•
11 6 321
•
11 6 322
•
11 6 480
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove vacuum pump.
•
Remove cylinder head cover.
Crank engine with special tool 11 6 480 to firing TDC position of
first cylinder.
Caution!
Do not crank the engine back.
Exhaust camshaft (A) and inlet camshaft (E) point with their
cams (1) in direction of travel to right.
