Note:

M57 and M57TU:

Insert and tighten down contact screws (1).

Fit cover cap (2).

Note:

Only M57:

Install and tighten nuts (1).

Reseal contact screws with sealing compound (2) and cover.

Note:

M57TU only: 

Insert and tighten down contact screws (1).

Insert nut (2) and tighten down.

Reassemble alternator.

Assemble engine.

Carry out alternator test with BMW DIS Tester.
