Removing and installing/replacing throttle
valve servomotor (S85)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out fault memory of DME control unit; if necessary,
work through test schedules
•
Switch off ignition
•
Remove intake air manifold
•
Release positive lead on cable duct at front and rear
•
Remove cover for ion control unit on left and right
•
Remove cover for ignition coils on left and right
Release bolt on cable duct (1).
Release nut on cable duct (1).
Tightening torque 12 52 3AZ
.
Unlock plug in V-chamber and disconnect, lay cable duct (1) to
one side.
Note:
Illustration shows and description refers to the left throttle valve
servomotor. The procedure is identical for the right filter housing.
Remove pull rod (1).
Unfasten screws.
Remove throttle valve servomotor (2).
