5 Series E61 520d (N47) TOUR
Place special tool 11 8 891 on crankcase.
Secure special tool in sequence (1 to 10).
Tightening torque: Nut (1 to 10) 25 Nm.
Screw down special tool 11 8 821 on to sealing surface of
coolant pump.
Secure special tool 11 8 821 with bolts (1).
Tightening torque: Tighten bolts (1) to 10 Nm .
Secure special tool 11 8 821 with bolt (1).
Secure special tool 11 8 822 with bolts (3).
Secure special tool 11 8 823 with bolts (2).
Important!
Bolt length (4) is M6x20 Risk of damage! on crankcase.
Secure special tool 11 8 824 with bolt (4).
Tightening torque: Tighten bolts (1, 2, 3) to
20 Nm .
Tightening torque: Tighten bolts (4) to 10 Nm .
Release valve cap on compressed air connection (2).
Use compressed air to pressure test crankcase to max. 3 bar .
RA Checking crankcase for water leaks (N47, N47S)
