Note:
Comply with the notes on body repairs as necessary.
Grind the tailgate around the abrasion points so that the metal is exposed.
Paint the tailgate above the centre
separation edge.
Modification to left/right tailgate trims
Remove the tabs (2) from the removed
left-hand trim (1) so that a flat surface is
created.
Repeat this action on the right-hand
trim.
Attach adhesive tape (2) at the lower
end of the left-hand trim (1), above the
beading.
A distance of A = 5 mm should remain
at the narrow part of the left-hand trim
(1).
Repeat this action on the right-hand
trim.
Refit the modified left and right-hand trims and reassemble the vehicle.
