5 Series E61 523i (N52) TOUR
Turn sprocket wheel (3) at central bolt (crankshaft) into position.
Secure special tool 11 0 290 to sprocket wheel (3) and special
tool 11 4 362 .
Release screw (2).
Tightening torque: 11 66 2AZ
.
Press timing chain with chain tensioner (1) in direction of arrow.
Disconnect timing chain with special tool 11 4 120 .
Feed out sprocket wheel (3) at hexagon head of vacuum
pump (4).
Installation:
A lock pin is pre-installed if the triangular drive is replaced.
Release bolt (1) on sprocket wheel.
Tightening torque: 11 41 4AZ
.
Release bolts (2).
Tightening torque: 11 41 3AZ
.
Secure crankshaft and camshaft.
Do not remove special tools 11 0 300 and 11 4 280 .
Fit special tool 11 9 280 .
Release central bolt (1).
Note:
A second person is required.
