Cut outer metal sheet only.

Measurement a = approx. 150 mm from roof edge

Measurement b = approx. 450 mm after bore dia. 20 mm

Measurement b = approx. 230 mm

Open weld joints in areas (1) and (4).

Open adhesive bonds in areas (3).

Installation information:

- 

Apply window glass adhesive to cavity acoustic baffles (2).

- 

Apply adhesive in areas (3).

- 

Weld in reinforcement plates at severance cuts.

- 

Bond and rivet new part in area (4). 

Use Hemlock 813 blind rivet (sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service picture board - Aluminium and

steel/bonding and welding).

Double number of rivets with respect to welding spots in area (4).

Open weld joints in areas (1).

Open brazed joints in areas (2).
