Replacing backrest cover for front left or right
seat (normal/electric)
Special tools required:
•
52 0 050
•
64 1 020
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove front seat
•
Remove rear panel on front seat
•
Remove guide for head restraint
•
Remove trim for release handle
Detach tensioning cables (1) from backrest frame.
Disconnect all retainers.
Detach partial cover (2) from backrest frame.
Detach drive unit (1) for lumbar cushion from backrest frame.
Installation:
If necessary, use new adhesive tape (double-sided).
Detach backrest cover (2) from backrest frame by lifting out
piping.
Note:
If necessary, use special tool 64 1 020 .
