Location of checkpoints for front seat with
seat-integrated belt system (SGS)

Important!

Read and comply with safety regulations for handling airbag
modules and pyrotechnical belt tensioners.

Inexpert handling can trigger off the airbag or the belt
tensioner and thus cause injuries.

The plug connections for the pyrotechnical seat belt
tensioners are no longer marked "Orange"!

Important!

If a seat belt damaged in an accident is replaced, always
check the seat affected for damage.

Checking contact surface of inertia reel for deformation:

Partially strip seat backs.

Front view of stripped front seat (seat surface):

The contact surface of the inertia reel (1) must not show any
signs of deformation. Contact surface must be flat!

Retaining screw of inertia reel (2) must not show any signs of
deformation or cracks!

Replace front seat if contact surface is deformed, and/or
deformation is identified in area of retaining screw of inertia reel.
