Replacing fuel pressure regulator (M60)
Caution!
The fuel in the fuel lines is under pressure (approx. 3 - 5
bar)! Catch and dispose of escaping fuel.
Follow instructions for checking fuel pressure,
refer to 13 31. . . Fuel pressure check.
Acoustic cover version 1:
Acoustic cover screwed down.
Remove seal caps (1) and unfasten nuts (2).
Remove acoustic cover.
Acoustic cover version 2:
Acoustic cover with press-stud fasteners.
Press press-stud fasteners (1 ... 4) in succession and at same
time raise acoustic cover slightly. Remove acoustic cover when all
four press-stud fasteners have been unlocked.
Installation:
Position acoustic cover and press downwards until press-
studs fasteners (1 ... 4) click audibly into place.
Installion location of fuel pressure regulator:
On the rear suction unit beside the electronics box.
