7 Series E32 740iL (M60-2) SAL
Check sealing ring in angle section, replace if necessary.
Press oil separator into angle section.
Tighten guide rail and retaining screw for oil separator.
Note:
From 10/93, a new guide rail has been installed without
mounting to the cylinder head. The fastening point for the
screw (1) is omitted. The new guide rail may also be installed
in pre-10/93 engines.
If necessary, insert screw (1) and tighten down.
Replace grub screw. Insert grub screw only until it makes contact
with angle section (2) without play; do not tighten down.
Note:
The grub screw locates the angle section (2) in the cylinder
head.
Caution!
Do not damage the cylinder head.
If necessary, rework open-end wrench.
Align camshafts with open-end wrench.
Fit special tool 11 2 445 / 441 to camshafts on cylinder
bank 1 to 4.
