7 Series E32 750iL (M70) SAL
Follow Notes 1 and 2 if a new coil spring is installed.
Note 1:
Relieve tension on special tool 31 3 341 and remove coil spring.
Important!
The special tool must not be tightened or untightened with an
impact screwdriver.
Note 2:
Insert new coil spring in spring retainers 31 3 355 .
Position coil spring as follows:
•
In each case one spring coil must be outside the spring
retainers.
•
Front spring end (1) must be in middle of spring retainers and
point upwards.
Tension coil spring.
Important!
When tensioned, the spring coils must rest completely in the
spring retainer recess.
Do not tension or release special tool

with an impact screwdriver!
The coils of the coil spring must not be compressed to its full
extent!
Check inner parts, replace if necessary.
When positioning protective tube, avoid pressure points and
ensure perfect folding.
Observe installation sequence of inner parts.
Insert spring strut in coil spring and upper spring retainer.
