Reattach and secure reconditioned sound insulation for
instrument panel trim on left and right.
Note:
Make sure there is a sufficient gap between the sound
insulation for the instrument panel trim and the ITS head
airbag gas generators; recondition if necessary.
The check can be performed when the instrument panel trim is
installed; in this case, particular attention must be paid to critical
points such as connector of ITS head airbag gas generator.
Connector of ITS head airbag gas generator must not be placed
under pressure by sound insulation for instrument panel.
Note:
The conversion work ends here.
Unfasten mounting bolt on A-pillar (1).
Note:
Bolt is held in end fitting (2) by retaining disk.
Installation:
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 72 12 4AZ.
