Caution!
The retaining clips (4 and 5) of the front roof pillar trim are
located near the
dual bracket on A-pillar (1),
bracket on A-pillar (2) and
mounting bolt on A-pillar (3).
Installation:
During installation always make sure that the lug (1) of the
grommet (2) of the retaining clip for the front roof pillar trim (3)
is over the ITS head airbag (4).
If this is not the case, the ITS head airbag may be damaged
by sharp edges of the retaining clips for the front roof pillar
trim.
This limits the functionality of the ITS head airbag or, in
extreme cases, results in its failure!
Unfasten screws (1 and 2).
Remove bracket of front grab handle.
Installation:
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 72 12 3AZ.
