Removing and installing/replacing rear ABS
pulse generator
Caution!
Read and comply with General Information.
Remove rear wheel.
Open connector housing (1), pull plug connector (2) out of bracket
and disconnect. Pull cable out of fasteners on swinging fork.
Installation:
Ensure proper locking of the plug connector and proper
seating of the cable in the brackets.
Release hexagon socket head cap screw (1), pull ABS pulse
generator out of bore.
Installation:
Tightening torque, 34 51 6AZ.
Clean hole for impulse sensor and grease with lubricating
grease Staburags NBU 12/K (refer to BMW Service Operating
Fluids).
