7 Series E38 728i (M52TU) SAL
Adjust the replacement part to the belt height adjustment.
Check the measurement for the distance of the brackets for the
belt height adjustment.
Distance (A) = 170 mm
Drill the holes for the plug welding in the joint surfaces of the
replacement part.
Clean mating points.
Manufacture reinforcement plate (1.2) for B pillar, width approx. 60
mm.
Drill the holes for the plug welding in the vehicle and the
replacement part.
Coat all joint surfaces and reinforcement plates with zinc dust
paint.
Insert reinforcement plate approx. 30 mm in pillar B, secure and
weld.
Handling the expanded foam parts for cavity bulkhead,
refer to 41 00 ... Installation of cavity bulkhead cover for side
member
Caution!
Keep adequate distance to welding surface.
