7 Series E38 730d (M57) SAL
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Catch and dispose of emerging fluid.
Press cooler line (2) of power steering in direction of cooling loop.
Press black locking ring (1) towards rear and keep pressed.
Detach cooler line (2) from cooling loop.
Installation:
Check O-ring for damage and replace if necessary.
Loosen nut (1).
Detach automatic transmission oil lines from oil sump.
Detach vacuum hose (2) at T-piece.
Detach plug from level sensor.
Caution!
To prevent damage to the airbag coil spring in the steering
column, it is absolutely essential after completing the tasks
to remove the steering wheel and center the airbag coil
spring.
