7 Series E38 730d (M57) SAL
Removing traction strut from front axle support.
Installation:
Fit washer (1) and replace self-locking nut.
Tightening torque 31 12 12AZ
.
Release nut; if necessary, grip stabilizer link with open-end
wrench.
Installation:
Replace self-locking nut.
Tightening torque 31 35 5AZ
.
Disconnect cable from bracket on spring strut shock absorber.
Release screw.
Insert special tool 31 2 200 in slot of steering knuckle and twist
through 90
°
.
Special tool remains on steering knuckle.
Installation:
Screw must locate in bore of retaining web (1). Remove tool.
Tightening torque 31 21 4AZ
.
