7 Series E38 730d (M57) SAL
Define, mark out and cut along joint (1) in rear apron.
Joint (1) is located roughly in the centre of the rear apron.
Connecting points between outer section of rear apron and:
Lower lamp carrier
Top of inner section of rear apron
Bottom of inner section of rear apron
Trunk cover plate
Side wall
Wheel housing extension
Expose and open up welding points.
Remove outer section of rear apron.
Straighten and grind joint surfaces.
Adjusting spare outer section of rear apron.
Mark out joints, remove spare part and cut down marked out joint.
Note:
If possible, produce reinforcement plates from spare part.
Produce reinforcement plates for connection point in centre of rear
apron.
Note:
The reinforcement plates must overlap on each side by at
least 30 mm.
