Adjusting trunk lid to fit
Note:
Lids (hood and trunk) are adjusted to fit the unfinished body
shell and are screwed into place.
Unpainted surfaces become visible after subsequent
movement.
These surfaces must be touched up with paint in the body
color.
Caution!
With automatic trunk lid controls, remove hydraulic cylinder
and place in water gutter.
Caution!
Unintentional dropping shut of the trunk lid is not to be
excluded by removing the pressurized hydraulic cylinder!
Open trunk lid and secure it so that it cannot accidentally drop
shut.
Remove retaining clips (1) from upper and lower mounts of
hydraulic cylinder and remove hydraulic cylinder.
Place hydraulic cylinder (1) in water gutter.
Caution!
When closing the trunk lid, ensure that neither the hydraulic
cylinder nor the trunk lid can be damaged.
