7 Series E38 730d (M57) SAL
Front adjustment:
Loosen left/ right screws (1).
Push slide/tilt sunroof lid upwards or downwards until ideal setting
is reached.
Tighten screws (1).
Installation:
Tightening torque -
refer to Technical Data 54 12 2AZ
Replace removed screws (micro-encapsulation) or install old
screws with Loctite 270 (refer to BMW Parts Service).
Press button to open roof briefly (1) then stop again (2) (inching
function).
The slide/tilt sunroof lid must now lower at back by
dimension (A).
(A) = 2 ... 4 mm
Caution!
Swift movement of the slide/tilt sunroof can damage
mechanism (guide) of the slide/tilt sunroof cassette.
Pull floating roof liner forwards (with clean hands or wearing
protective gloves).
Installation:
Check function.
