Removing and installing / replacing right
fresh-air grill
Open glove compartment and fold down. Unfasten screws and
fold down upper glove compartment trim. Disconnect plug
connectors from switch, disconnect light and take out trim.
Close fresh-air grill.
Pull out soundproofing (1) somewhat downward so that two
retaining hooks (see next diagram) of fresh-air grill become
accessible.
For improved clarity, this diagram shows an already remove fresh-
air grill with the retaining hooks (1).
Release one retaining hook (press upward) and push in special
tool 00 9 300 between fresh-air grill and instrument panel approx.
half way. Release second retaining hook in the same way.
The special tools 00 9 300 hold the retaining hooks in the
released position.
