Removing and installing airbag control unit
Warning!
Note airbag safety instructions!
Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.
Disconnect battery negative lead and cover.
Press fresh-air grill and trim/heating controls apart a little, unclip
trim/heating controls at top and pull out.
Slide fresh-air grill approx. 30 to 40 mm downwards and pull out.
Installation:
Guide in fresh-air grill centered and press completely upward.
Then install trim/heating controls.
Unlock and disconnect plug connections and remove trim or
heater controls.
Release nuts and raise airbag control unit.
Installation:
Before installing airbag control unit, make sure grounding cable is
resting on stud bolt (1).
Tightening torque, 65 77 1AZ .
