7 Series E38 730d (M57) SAL
Unfasten screws and remove airbag module.
Caution!
Always replace micro-encapsulated screws!
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 72 12 1AZ.
Note:
Modified airbag modules will be used.
The differences are:
Modified retaining tab
Integrated lead with airbag plug.
Previous version:
4 retaining tabs (1),
without fitted lead and airbag plug, adapter lead required.
Modified version:
3 retaining tabs (1),
and fitted cable (2).
The adapter cable required in the previous version is now omitted
because of the prefitted cable.
