Complaint:
The following complaints may be made in conjunction with
CD roadmap 1998/1:
1.
The navigation computer does not recognise the new
CD roadmap 1998/1. The message "Invalid map CD" appears.
2.
After activating the menu item "Route to destination", no route to destination is given.
No instructions to turn are given, nor are remaining distances, and no graphic
representation of the planned route can be recognised on the map.
Note:
The complaints described do not qualify for entitlement to have navigation system
components exchanged.

The CD-ROM will be sent without invoicing in April 1998 (see IDC 007/98_1). All dealers in
the automatic distribution system will receive a copy of the
CD-ROM "BMW Navigation V 08". There is no limit to the number of times the CD can be
used to load the operating software.
Please refer to IDC 007/98_1.
Note:
The CD-ROM "BMW Navigation V 08" contains both operating software V 7.3 for
navigation system Mk1 and status V 2.2 for navigation system Mk2. When
loading the software, the navigation computer will automatically recognise the
required version.
Reimbursement:
Material and labour costs incurred can be claimed through the usual warranty channels
subject to current warranty terms as follows:
