Switch off ignition!

Attach single adapters 12 7 041 to ignition coils of left and right
cylinder banks.

Connect single adapters 12 7 041 with connecting cable set
12 7 043.

Note:

Pass long connecting cable over engine.

Connect DIS Tester to diagnosis socket. Connect RZV connection
line of DIS Tester to last test adapter.

Connect trigger pliers of DIS Tester to supply lead of ignition coil
of 1st cylinder.

- 

Select < Preset measurements >

- 

Select < Secondary ignition signal >

- 

Select < Stationary ignition distribution >

- 

Select < 8 cylinders >

For subsequent procedure, follow DIS instructions.

Notes on troubleshooting using adapter set:

Normal oscillogram,

refer to MG 12.

- 

Ignition coil comparison,

refer to MG 12.

- 

Ignition coil fault,

refer to MG 12.

- 

Spark plug fault,

refer to MG 12

- 

Additional fault patterns,

refer to MG 12.
