7 Series E38 730iL (M60-1) SAL
Release nut (1) on alternator.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 12 31 1AZ.
Remove battery positive lead (3) from lead holder (2).
Disconnect battery positive lead (3) from alternator.
Cut through cable straps between alternator and battery positive
support point.
Remove battery positive lead (3) towards bottom.
To facilitate assembly, bend connecting lead (2) to alternator 90
degrees prior to installation.
Observe markings (1) on battery positive lead during installation.
Installation:
Insert battery positive lead (1) behind left engine support arm
towards top.
