Replacing master relay (M51, M52, M60, M62)

Switch off ignition.

Unfasten screws.

Remove cover from electronics.

Tightening Torque,

refer to Technical Data 12 90 4AZ.

M52, M60, M62:

Remove relay (2).

Note:

If relay allocation does not coincide with pattern:

The relay with a line cross section greater than 2.5 mm

2 

 is the

DME master relay. 

If in doubt, remove relay from socket and check whether there is
an interrupt in the desired function.

M 51:

Remove relay (1).

Installation:

Interrogate fault memory of DME/DDE control unit, check fault
messages stored in memory, rectify faults and cancel fault
memory.
