Lift up cap.

If applicable, disconnect plug connection on Electronic Damper
Control and remove cap from cable.

Unscrew nuts.

Installation:

Replace self-locking nuts.

Tightening torque  31 31 1AZ

Important!

Do not damage wheel arch.

With assistance of a second person, remove spring strut
shock absorber.

Press steering knuckle with control arm and traction strut down as
far as possible until spring strut shock absorber can be tilted
towards wheel arch.

Remove spring strut shock absorber from steering knuckle.

Warning!

Prior to each use of the special tool  31 3 340 , it is essential
to read the associated Owner's Handbook fully!

All the safety precautions and instructions contained in the
Owner's Handbook must be strictly observed!

Failure to observe these safety precautions and instructions
increases the risk of serious physical injury, damage to your
health and damage to property and equipment!
