Replacing left or right tie rod
Caution!
After assembly, measure/adjust front axle alignment.
Unfasten nut.
Press off track rod with special tool 32 1 190.
Installation:
Bore and tapered spigot free of grease.
Replace self-locking nut.
Brace on hexagon socket if necessary.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 32 21 3AZ
Clamping screw loose.
Twist and remove tie rod.
Installation:
Coat tie rod adjusting thread with special grease, refer to
BMW Parts Service
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 32 21 4AZ.
