7 Series E38 740d (M67) SAL
Grip engine hood firmly.
Raise clamps (1) on both sides and slide upwards.
Unhook dampers (2) on left and right of engine hood.
Raise engine hood.
Screw two M8 bolts (1) into engine hood hinges for locking.
Assemble special tool (00 0 200) with special tool
(00 0 201 / 202 / 204 / 208) and attach as illustrated.
Note:
The contact faces (1) of special tool 00 0 208 must rest on
the screws of both side walls.
Attach special tool (11 0 020) to front and rear engine
suspension lugs and to hook as illustrated.
Disconnect plug (1).
Release line from line holder (2).
Release clamp (3).
Release screw (4).
Release clamp (5).
Remove intake muffler housing (6) completely with hot-film air-
mass flow sensor.
