Removing and installing / sealing or replacing
tubes for secondary air induction
Unfasten suction line from upper section of intake filter housing.
Remove upper section of suction filter housing style with mass air
flow sensor.
Remove fan coupling with fan wheel,
refer to 11 52 020
Unfasten protective tube for positive battery lead from timing case
cover.
Remove vacuum hose (1) and air hose (2) from non-return valve.
Remove non-return valve.
Installation:
Sealing faces clean and free of debris. Replace seal.
If necessary, unfasten cap nut and sliding gasket.
Installation:
Check seal, replacing if necessary.
For tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 72 1AZ
Unfasten clip on water pump.
