7 Series E38 740i (M62) SAL
Release oil sump screws on inside of oil sump.
Release oil sump screws pointing to end cover and then
remaining oil sump screws.
Installation:
Clean sealing faces and free of seal debris. Apply
Hylomar SQ 32M liquid sealing compound (refer
to BMW Parts Service) to edges of partition area.
Replace gasket. Install upper oil sump section and insert all oil
sump screws.
Installation:
In order to exclude torsion stress when installing the transmission
later, align the oil pan flush with the engine block on the
transmission side.
Tighten all oil sump screws.
