Caution!
The eccentric pin on the lower section of the trunk lid lock
rotates when being locked from upper section of trunk lid lock.
Secure upper section of trunk lid lock with help of a
screwdriver.
This figure displays the side view of the eccentric pin in the lower
section of the trunk lid lock
1 = upper dead centre
Trunk lid lock - upper section unlocked
2 = lower dead centre
Trunk lid lock - upper section locked
Open right side panel on luggage compartment and disconnect
plug connection to actuator motor for the eccentric pin in lower
section of trunk lid lock.
Caution!
Eccentric pin in lower section of trunk lid lock must be at lower
dead centre.
Caution!
After disconnecting the plug connection to the actuator motor,
trunk lid can only be opened using central key.
Do not leave central key lying in trunk!
The eccentric pin now remains at the lower dead centre, even
after the upper section of the trunk lid lock has been unlocked.
