Remove rubber sealing strip.

Installation:

Clean groove for rubber profile seal and sealing surfaces of
remains of seal.

Installation:

Replace sealing ring in cylinder head for oil supply of chain
tensioner.

Installation:

Keep sealing faces clean and free of oil.

Apply coat of Drei Bond 1209 to joint between cylinder head
and lower timing case cover (refer to BMW Parts Service).

Seat new rubber seal in groove.
