Install camshafts.
In insertion position, recesses in the camshafts point upwards
approx. 30 ... 40

from the surface of the cylinder head.
Caution!
Do not mix up camshaft bearing covers of cylinders 1 to 4
and 5 to 8.
Fit bearing covers.
Note:
The exhaust camshaft bearing covers are legibly designated
from the intake side with the letters A1 ... A5.
Note:
The intake camshaft bearing covers are legibly designated
from the intake side with the letters E1 ... E5.
Evenly tighten down bearing covers on camshafts for cylinder
bank 1 to 4 in 1/2 turn steps from outside to inside.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 31 1AZ.
