Removing and installing / replacing coolant
thermostat (M62)
Remove upper section of suction filter housing with mass
air flow sensor.
Unscrew and remove splash guard.
Drain off coolant and dispose of correctly.
Installation:
Vent cooling system and check for leaks,
refer to 17 00 005.

Disconnect coolant hose.

Disconnect plug-in connection.

Remove thermostat housing cover with integrated
thermostat.
Installation:
Replace sealing ring.
