Removing and installing/replacing DSC3
precharging pump (with charging piston unit)
Note:
Follow general instructions,
refer to 34 00 ...
After completing work, the pre-boost pump circuit must be bled
by activating with the BMW Diagnosis and Information System
(DIS).
Disconnect plug connector (1) and unclip connector housing (2)
from bracket (3) with a quarter turn to the left.
Installation:
Ensure proper locking of the plug connector.
Disconnect suction hose (1) with special tool 13 3 010. Open
hose clip (2) and pull off suction hose.
Unscrew pressure line (3) from boost piston unit.
Installation:
Tightening torque,
refer to 34 32 1AZ
.
Unfasten (1) screws and remove bracket (2) upward.
Pull pre-boost pump upward out of lower bracket.
Installation:
Ensure proper seating of rubber mounts.
