Release screw (1) above opening of detached trim (2).

Open cup holder (1).

Release screw (2) underneath cup holder cover.

Unhook and remove retaining strap from trim (1).

Note:

When removing function carrier (2), under no circumstances
damage side of storage shelf (3).

First lift out function carrier (1) 

on passenger side (2),

unscrew a little,

then lift out on driver's side (3)

and remove.
