7 Series E38 740iL (M62) SAL
Press lug to open lock, disconnect plug.
Disconnect plug connection,
refer also to 72 12 ... Unlocking/locking airbag plug connections.
Remove airbag module.
Install screwdriver in retaining bracket (1) for retaining clip (2) on
cover.
Turn screwdriver a little so that clip (1) is spread apart and
retaining clip (2) can be removed.
Remove upper part of faulty retaining clip from passenger airbag
cover.
If necessary, insert new retaining clip in passenger airbag cover.
Installing passenger airbag cover (airbag cover) with two retaining
straps and bracket:
Place bracket (1) on screw bolts.
Re-establish plug connection.
Make sure plug is correctly locked by lug.
Lock plug connection,
refer also to 72 12 ... Unlocking/locking airbag plug connections.
