Close trunk lid carefully in order to check that the hydraulic
cylinder or the trunk lid is not damaged during closing.
If necessary, correct position of hydraulic cylinder (1) in water
gutter!
Adapt sides and height of trunk lid:
Align trunk lid to the rear side panels at the same seam width with
parallel seams (1),
refer to 41 00 ... gap dimensions doors/front and trunk lid,
The trunk lid should be flush with the side panels at the tail section
above the tail lights (2).
Tolerance - 1 mm, i.e. trunk lid may lie 1 mm below side panels.
Measure height setting of trunk lid in area (3)
Dimension (A) = 100 mm from outer edge of trunk lid.
The trunk lid should be at the same height as both rear side
panels.
Tolerance
±
1 mm.
Note:
Height setting is performed in this area by moving the hinge
mount on the body.
If necessary, adapt trunk lid to fit, loosening trunk lid lock to avoid
damage.
Adjust trunk lid to fit:
Press ejector into detent buffer and, in this position, twist slightly to
left with a Phillips screwdriver.
This locks the ejectors in the detent buffers.
