BMW 7 Series E38 750iL SAL Workshop Service and Repair Manuals

Note:

The end cover is in the set with the radial sealing ring.

If necessary, push out the radial sealing ring and drive in new
sealing ring with special tool 11 1 230 in combination with
special tool 00 5 500.

Check for correct fit of hollow bushes.

Replace seal.

Coat contact edges of joint with thin, uniform layer of
Hylomar SQ32 Spezial, refer to BMW Parts Service.

Fit special tool 11 2 390 on crankshaft.

Coat sealing lip of radial sealing ring with oil.

Slide on end cover and tighten down.

Carefully remove special tool 11 2 390.
