7 Series E38 750iL (M73) SAL
Use shims (1) between doors and hinges when installing new
doors.
Distance for rough adjustment:
Front door:
Fit 2 shims, each 1 mm thick
Rear door
Fit 2 shims, each 1 mm thick
Adjust to specified distance by installing shim in appropriate
quantity and/or thickness.
Lower door window.
Adjust height of door roughly when installing new doors.
Without dust strip at bottom of door, uniform gap (A) approx. 20
mm.
Tighten nuts on upper and lower door hinges.
Check gap (B) and correct if necessary.
Gap (B): Approx. 5 mm uniformly.
Check door height - flush - and correct if necessary.
