Unscrew nuts. Lift bearing cover off camshaft. Remove camshaft.

For tightening torque,

refer to Technical Data 11 31 1AZ

Note:

The bearing covers are assigned to the relevant bearing point
and must not be confused with one another. The code
numbers can be read on the exhaust side.

Installation:

Fit bearing cover with code number 7 to code number 7 on
cylinder head: then follow same pattern with bearing covers 6-
1.

Note:

Assembly of sprockets and adjustment of the camshaft is
described in above section on removing and installing timing
case,
