7 Series E38 L7 (M73) SAL
Disconnect alternator connections.
Connections illustrated here on removed alternator.
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Unscrew nut (2).
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 12 31 1AZ.
Pull alternator upwards to remove.
Caution!
Do not damage cooling fins!
Replace alternator pulley.
Unfasten nut with special tool 12 7 110, bracing alternator shaft
with Allen key or multi-tooth socket wrench.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 12 31 3AZ.
